Brunhilde Victory

My story about the name Brunhilde is dedicated to my vaulting coach Brunhilde Vorberg. She was a vaulting and riding coach at the JRG Cologne, which is now known as Voltigierverein Dünnwald Team Norka. In 1997, I joined the Cologne Team, which includes Kai Vorberg, Fabian Köngeter, Nicki Braun, Alexandra Elsner, Sandra Hövel, Eva Böhner, Angela Fröhlig, Kira Paas, Alexandra, and Stefanie Knauf. Our horse, Kolumbus, was one-of-a-kind and incredibly remarkable. At a championship in Denmark, the famous Mrs Cook from Sundance vaulters in California offered him 50,000 dollars. The team was sponsored by a casino in Cologne called "Spiel mit". Reinhold Strang, the owner, wanted to sell our horse, Kolumbus, to Mrs. Cook. Brunhilde could put a stop to this, and Columbus could remain our team horse. There is a unique ritual preceding the vaulting performance. The team runs into the arena, as the audience cheers them on. Our jogging music was the main theme score from the film Beetlejuice. I'll never forget the thrill of victory I got as we were running to the music at the German Championship in 1997, where we were crowned vice German Champions. What is your story with a victory and the name Brunhilde?
