Vera Sacrifice

My story with the name Vera is dedicated to my old modern teacher Vera Sander at University HfMT Cologne. Because of her abusive ghosting, I still have PTSD and feel like a survivor. 

First, I have to say that my class (Year: 2004-2008) was probably the worst the school ever had. We were all very talented, but had horrible attitudes and no unity.  Our class was divided in all kind of groups like the turkey, Russian, Ecos (more modern) and the ones who came from a more exclusive ballet school and were more focused on classical Ballet technic. Since I was coming from Palucca and cod arts, I was in the last Group. 

When Vera came new to our school, she gave a test class where we students could decide which teacher would become our new professor.  She decided to wear a t-shirt with a red star on it. It was a very clear sign in which direction she would lead the school. She decided to push the Ecos, more modern dancers, and left the others behind.

I personally feel that I would have a better relationship with her if I would be straight and sexuality would be involved. Since I am not, I really got a homophobic vibe from her. She also had a huge fight with our gay classical teacher Fernando Coehlo and gay modern teacher Massimo Geradi. They left the school because of it and are now teachers at Palucca. 

In my two years in her class, she completely ignored me, and I was the symptom carrier of the group. To get my diploma, I needed to get out of her striking field. I did it in changing from the left side of the room to the right, where Gabriela was dancing. Then Gabriela had to go on my side and became the symptom. It was a narcissistic sacrifice I had to make to get my diploma. They say ignorance is the most brutal communication, especially when you struggle with ADHD. In my last year of university I was praying every night to get through it and I luckily did. What's your story with PTSD, Ghosting, sacrifices and the name Vera?
