Monika Hotdog

My story about the name Monika is dedicated to my aunt Monika Köngeter Aaskow. Monika met Hitler while she was attending German school. She is my father's oldest sister and currently resides in Falmouth, Maine, United States. We paid several visits to the family while my grandmother and stepfather were nearing the end of their lives. I remember her hosting ice hockey parties with hotdogs. She has land in Maine and two lakes that freeze in the winter. We used the lakes to play ice hockey. Because it is a very mail-driven activity, I was able to escape to her attic and watch gymnastics. She had filmed the Barcelona Olympics, and it was my first time seeing gymnastics. It is something I still watch to this day. I shattered my foot trying to climb upstairs to watch. The foot became swelled and no longer fit into the ice hockey shoe. I was also watching a documentary on the boy band New Kids on the Block. It was the first time I had a fantasy of falling in love with one of them. I believe it was Jordan Knight, and I also had a dream about him. What is your story about boybands and the name Monika?
